Entertainment Media Studies

Production Basics

This music video, for the song “Cry Baby” by the Neighborhood was my final project for the course. It’s something that I’m extremely proud of!

Above is my group’s scene recreation project. We were tasked with taking a scene from a movie, in my group’s case we drew from Little Women (2019), and dissecting it then recreating it shot-by-shot. I directed and helped to edit this project.

What Happened to the Movie Star?: A Case Study

Throughout this paper, I analyzed the career of actress and model Barbara Stanwyck and used it as a tool to demonstrate how the power of celebrity status has been altered and diluted via the increasing prevalence of visual media in American society.

Writing for Entertainment media

Throughout this course, my partner and I wrote two scripts, a short film and a webisode pilot. Through the second half of the semester we read and provided revisions and recommendations to other groups’ projects. We also received criticism and advice, which was then used to guide us in creating these final products.

Additionally, we had to create a set of pitch documents for our web series, Snake Eyes. Through these pitch documents we envisioned and outlined where our show would go in future episodes and seasons.

This blog was by-far one of my favorite creations for this class. I used a WordPress theme to develop a pizza review website for my brother-in-law.
