The Adirondack Forty-Sixers are an organization of hikers who have climbed all forty-six of the traditionally recognized High Peaks of the Adirondack Mountains. They are often referred to just as 46ers.
The 46 High Peaks range in height from 3820 feet to 5344 feet, and in estimated hiking time as well. With Mt. Emmons taking an average of 18 hours to complete, entrance to the elusive 46ers club is not won easily. Hikers must also conquer the multitude of other hikes that clock in at over 10 hours in length.
